Blood drives held this week
SNELLVILLE - The American Red Cross is looking for donors to help fill a statewide blood shortage. From 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, the Red Cross will hold a blood drive at Snellville City Hall, located at 2342 Oak Road in Snellville. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, the group will be at the Centerville Community Center at 3025 Bethany Church Road. All donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds or more and be able to show photo ID at donation time. For more information, call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or visit www.redcrossblood.org. Bowling alley to host blood drive NORCROSS - Those wishing to donate blood to the American Red Cross can do so this weekend. The Red Cross will be taking donations from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Brunswick Zone bowling alley at 6345 Spalding Drive in Norcross. Anonymous HIV testing offered DULUTH - AIDGwinnett offers HIV testing twice a week at its Duluth location. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Thursday every week, anonymous and confidential no-needle tests are provided for $20. The AIDGwinnett office is located at 3075 Breckinridge Blvd., suite 415, Duluth.
