Intruders shoot, pepper spray man
•SNELLVILLE - A Snellville man said he was shot in the leg after two men knocked on his door and barged their way in about midnight Wednesday.
According to a police report, said when the man opened the door the black men asked if the man's dog would bite and when he said "No" they sprayed him in the face with pepper spray.
A woman who also lived at the home located at 3094 Sarah Lou Drive said she was in a back bedroom with her baby when she heard shots fired.
She said she saw the men fleeing from the living room.
rob taxi driver
•NORCROSS - A Lawrenceville taxi driver was robbed Thursday night by two of his customers, police said.
According to a police report, the man picked up two Hispanic men from El Imperio night club on Jimmy Carter Boulevard.
One of the men told the victim to drive to Danburg Drive and Wakefield Court in Norcross then produced a gun and demanded the driver's wallet, cell phone and keys.
The men then got out of the taxi and got into a nearby black Ford F-150 pick-up truck and fled.
Man charged with drug offenses
•WINDER - A traffic stop for speeding, no tag light and window tint violations led to the driver being arrested and charged with multiple marijuana-related charges.
Chadwick Ambrose Finch, 18, of Winder, was arrested Monday when Winder police officers smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from his car during the traffic stop, police reports state. Officers found 13 large baggies full of a green, leafy substance in a plastic grocery bag in the car's rear floorboard, police reports state.
Finch is charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of government housing, tag light violation and window tint violation.
Police say woman's cat was likely shot
•WINDER - A woman found her cat dead next to her bird bath Monday, with a large hole in its right shoulder and a larger hole in its left shoulder. Winder police reports state the cat appeared to have been shot.
The cat's owners told police they believed the neighbors shot the cat.
No action was taken.
Man charged after hotel incident
•WINDER - Winder police officers arrested a reportedly drunk man outside the Comfort Inn at 177 W. Athens St. Tuesday.
The desk clerk called police when Matthew Ashley, 39, of Guntersville, Ala., came to the front desk staggering and mumbling, then began beating on doors, police reports state.
When police officers told Ashley to leave, he went outdoors and urinated on the backside of the motel, the report said.
Ashley was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and public indecency.
•WINDER - Christopher Evan Tarr went to jail hungry Monday.
Police reports state that when Tarr ordered his food at the McDonald's drive-through, the food he got was incorrect. Tarr allegedly threw the food at the server in the drive-through window, then refused to move his van from the drive-through lane.
While a police officer stood between the van and the drive-through window, Tarr reportedly put the vehicle in gear and started to drive away. Tarr was stopped at gunpoint, police reports state.
Police officers reportedly found several Xanax pills in Tarr's pocket.
Tarr, 18, of Winder, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance not in its original container.
