Doris I. Tolliver, 73, of Doraville, GA, died April 25, 2007. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28th, at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Tolliver was a life long member of the Church of Christ and attended Campus Church of Christ. She was a 1951 graduate of Greendale High School in VA, attended Bristol Business College and worked in the business community prior to marriage. She loved her neighbors and was a minister to them until her illness. Terry Raffel, age 53, passed away March 18 in Florence, AZ. Born in Buffalo, NY he is survived by children, Gary Raffel (Kathy) of Bloomfield, NY, Marcy Harvill (Jay), Teri Lynn Raffel, Brittany Raffel and five grandchildren all of Phoenix, AZ , Mother, Marian Raffel Canton, GA, Sisters Judy Wintemute (Michael), Dacula, GA and Linda Attenhofer (Joseph), Ocala, FL., nieces, nephews and great nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday April 29 at Horizon Baptist Church, 2172 Lawrenceville Suwanee Rd., Suwanee GA. at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Larry Miller will officiate. Interment will be at Cherokee Memorial Park, Canton, GA beside his late father Theodore (Ted) Raffel.



Mr. Robert Scott Byrd, age 47, of Grayson, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007. A native of Atlanta, he was a graduate of Lakeside High School in DeKalb County in 1978 and of Georgia State University in Atlanta where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was employed by Solid Source Realty. He was an avid golfer and was loved dearly by many friends. Survivors include his son, Kevin Byrd of Kennesaw, his mother, Una L. Byrd of Buford, his sister, Kelly Campbell, a niece, Brittany Campbell, both of Dacula, and his fiancee, Kathy Haggar of Grayson. Robert "Bob" Llewellyn Edelblut Sr., passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at the young age of 84. Bob was born in Fort Myers, Florida, December 5, 1922. Bob and Judy, his high school sweetheart, celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary on March 6, 2007. Husband, Father, Friend, or Businessman, Bob's life exemplified a man wholly devoted to his family, his community, and his church, wherever he and Judy lived. Journeys in his life of construction, profession of civil engineering spanned many states and even as far as Monrovia, Liberia. Regardless where, Bob was involved: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Kiwanis, volunteer tutoring in local High Schools, teaching Sunday School Classes, he was a man devoted to all. Bob served in the Air Force from 1942 until 1946. He attended Georgia Tech from 1940 until 1943. His life was centered around his many construction projects. From 1975 until 1978 he was an independent consultant and served on the Gwinnett Co. Water and Sewer Authority. He was a life time member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and served in many offices of leadership within the Society. In the early 2000's Bob was honored to be a Board Member of FEMA. He is survived by his wife, Jewel "Judy"; a son, Robert "Bob" Jr of Port Ludlow, WA; a daughter, Suzanne Smallwood of Woodstock, GA; a sister, Eileen Pirkle of Social Circle, GA; a brother, Richard T. Edelblut of Ft. Myers, FL; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; six nieces and nine nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on Saturday at 2 pm at Bascomb United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ralph Deveraux officiating. Burial will follow at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens, Acworth.
