DULUTH - Atlanta rapper-actor Ludacris has been added to the lineup for the Arena at Gwinnett Center's Megafest concert.
He'll join rapper Busta Rhymes for a May 12 concert at the Arena. The concert, previously known as the Bay to the A Megafest, had been scheduled for Saturday, but the date - and name - has been changed with the addition of Ludacris. The event will now be called All Call - End of the School Year Megafest Tour. Rapper E40 is also scheduled to perform.
All tickets for the previous show will be honored at the May 12 concert, arena spokesman Chris Hendley said.
Ludacris, aka Christopher Bridges, released his latest album, the platinum-selling "Release Therapy," in September. The Atlanta-based rapper started out as a radio DJ on Hot 97.5 radio station. One of his biggest hits is the single "Stand Up," which appeared on the soundtrack for the movie "Honey." He won a Grammy for the single "Yeah," on which he performed with Usher and Lil Jon.
Ludacris has also found success in acting, especially with critically acclaimed roles in 2005's "Hustle and Flow" and "Crash."
Refunds for the Saturday show are available at the point of purchase. The All Call show will start at 5 p.m. May 12 at the Arena at Gwinnett Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
