Jewel “Memaw” O'Shields Burton, 86, of Norcross, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007. The funeral will be at 11 AM Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, with Mrs. Susan Rumble officiating. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth. A native of Gwinnett County, Mrs. Burton was a homemaker, a member of the Norcross Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of Lilburn First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Burton, her son, Douglas Gerald Burton, and her sister, Grace Larson. Survivors include, daughters & son-in-law, Beverly Tye of Snellville, Barbara Garner of Dacula, Stephanie & Bill Stanley of Lilburn; sons and daughters-in-law, Jon & Laurel Burton of Auburn, Kenneth & Brenda Burton of Lilburn; sister, Ruby Burnett of Tucker; brother, Theron O'Shields of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Allison (Lee) Graves, Jennifer (Mike) Gebzeck, Mathew (Mary Beth) Burton, Daniel Burton, Miles Burton, Savannah Stanley; great grandchildren, Kade Graves, Kyle Graves, Libby Gebzeck.
