Mae Jo Ashworth, 91, of Dacula, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, April 16, 2007. She was an active member of Dacula Methodist Church for many years and was deeply devoted to her family. Mae Jo was one of the most enduring people that you would ever meet. It was not uncommon for her family, friends, and neighbors to describe her as a gentle soul who always had a kind word and a warm smile for everyone she met. She was a woman of tremendous character and embodied the spirit of doing right by others at every opportunity. Her love for her children and family will endure forever and she will be deeply missed by those who had the wonderful fortune of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Leroy Ashworth, in June, 2006. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Martha Ashworth, Suwanee, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Shirley Ashworth, Tucker, Georgia; son, Lonnie Ashworth, Lilburn, Georgia; sister, Sara Kilgore; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
