Mrs. Amy Elizabeth Johnsa, age 66, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, April 13, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Richard H. Johnsa. Mrs. Johnsa was born September 11, 1940 in Georgia. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Atlanta, GA. She and her husband, Richard, lived in Suwanee, GA for many years. She was involved in her grandchildren's sports and extra curricular activities. She was a member of New Bethany Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at New Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Duren and Rev. Danny Ashworth officiating. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Arrangements by Junior E. Dr. Thomas William Parkinson, MB, BS, FACFA died April 14th at Piedmont Medical Center. A celebration of his life will be announced later. He was born November 22, 1921 in Yorkshire England, the only of Zoe Amelia and Arthur Sheard Parkinson. He moved to Rock Hill in 1964 to become the first anesthesiologist in York County. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Joan; three children, Ann Ryan and husband, Michael of Winston Salem, NC, Dr. John Parkinson and wife, Vicki of Wilmington, NC and Margaret Cook and husband, Charles of Suwanee, GA; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves cousins in England and many wonderful friends.
