OSCAR “JUNIOR” May 13, 1933–April 11, 2007 Joseph Oscar "Junior" Jarrard, 73, of Buford died Wednesday April 11, 2007 at the Bell Minor Home following a period of declining health. Born in Hall County, he lived all his life in Buford and Bishop, GA. Mr. Jarrard was a retired carpenter, was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jarrard, parents, Joseph O. and Winnie Jarrard, a sister and four brothers. SURVIVORS-Children: Bobby Gerald Jarrard, Bishop, GA; Wanda Gail Leggett, Bogart, GA; Stepchildren: Wayne Piper, Suwanee, GA; Donna Porter, Dahlonega, GA; Denis Turner; Pensacola, FL; Sister: Dorothy Maddox, Buford, GA; Special Nephew & Niece: Kenny & Anita Williamson, Cumming, GA; 11 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren Funeral services will be held Saturday April 14, 2007 at 11 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Bishop Douglas C. Hammond and Rev. Rusty Maddox will officiate. Interment in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4 until 9 at the funeral home.
