Geraldine Maxey Lippmann, age 90, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2007. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Lynn and Mike McLaughlin; Granddaughters, Melissa McLaughlin and Laura McLaughlin; Sister, Frances Maxey Minton, all of Lawrenceville, GA; also several nieces and nephews and cousins. Geraldine was a native of Gwinnett County and was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Bertie Maxey and a brother, Lewis Maxey. She retired in 1982 as Chief Switchboard Operator at Emory University. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. Rev. Len Terrell of Section, Alabama, formerly of Loganville, went to his heavenly home on Friday, April 6, 2007. Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Snellville United Methodist Church. Rev. Bob Willis, Rev. Raymond Lott and Rev. Russ Butcher will officiate. When Len and Peggy married in 1966 he was a mechanic at Royal Oldsmobile in Decatur, GA. Upon moving to Loganville, Len became a full time farmer as well as owning and operating Georgia Farm Service. In 1970 he also opened Ace Hardware in downtown Loganville which he ran until he opened Sportsman's Outlet in 1985. In 1991 he closed the business and went back to the farm. He loved farming and baled many tons of hay over the 38 years he lived in Loganville. Len was active in the community. He was a member of the Loganville United Methodist Church before joining Snellville United Methodist Church. Currently he is a member of the Section United Methodist Church in Section, AL. He coached and helped organize the Little League in Loganville. He also helped organized AID Gwinnett, Inc. and was a very active lobbyist at the Georgia State Capital for health issues after the death of his son. Len was a member of the Walton County Soil and Water Conservation Committee. Len was an avid motorcyclist and mechanic. He could fix anything. He and Peggy enjoyed many motorcycle trips through our country. His love of hunting and fishing took them even more places. Together they loved to travel, especially when they could share an adventure with the grandchildren. Len and Peggy moved to Alabama after selling their farm five years ago. They shared many good times and memories with the friends and neighbors of Section, AL. He was preceded in death by his son, Ric Crawford, and is survived by: Wife: Peggy D. Terrell, Section, AL; Children: Al and Kim Crawford, Loganville, GA, Robin and Mike Hirner, Jacksonville, FL, Wesley and Sandy Terrell, Loganville, GA; Brother: Bobby Terrell, Woodland, GA; Sister-in-law: Beverly and Bill Holbrook, Cornelia, GA; Grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Kesley Crawford, Michael Hirner, Dustin and Drew Terrell; Cousins: Dr. Hugh Terrell, Nashville, TN, Leslie McConnell, Lexington, KY; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
