Kent - Rainey

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Kent of Greensboro and Mr. and Mrs. Perry Shupe of Lilburn announce the engagement of their daughter, Marie Ann Kent of Conyers, to William Cooper Rainey Jr. of Eatonton, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Cooper Rainey Sr. of Eatonton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Carole Kent of Eatonton and the late Jim Kent; the late Bette Kent; Doran Shupe of Mountain City, Tenn. and the late Vivian Shupe; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ruttinger of Newnan; and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sowell of Greensboro. She is the great-granddaughter of Ann Radkowski of Sharon, Pa. She is a 2000 graduate of Heritage High School. She is a 2004 graduate of the University of West Georgia, where she received a degree in business administration. She is employed by the Associated Paper Inc. as an account manager and marketing assistant.

The future groom is the grandson of Mrs. Milton Sadler Rainey of Macon and the late Milton Sadler Rainey Jr.; and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Manley Sr. of Eatonton. He attended Gatewood Schools in Eatonton and Brandon Hall School in Dunwoody. He is employed by Rossee Oil Co. Inc. as vice president of operations.

The wedding is planned for June. Drake - Fountain

The Rev. John and Iris Drake of Grayson announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Elyse Drake of Grayson, to Stephen DeWayne Fountain of Flowery Branch, son of the Rev. Tommy and Dianne Fountain of Opp, Ala.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jacqelyn Drake of Doraville and the late Clarence L. Drake; and the late J.L. and Erika Renfroe. She is a 2004 graduate of Grayson High School. She is attending Truett-McConnell College and majoring in early childhood education.

The future groom is the grandson of Barbara Fountain of Cataula and the late Buford E. Fountain; and Beulah Wilks of Opp, Ala., and the late E. Max Wilks. He is a 2002 graduate of Glenwood High School in Phenix City, Ala. He is a 2006 graduate of Truett-McConnell College, where he received an associate degree in Christian studies. He is attending Luther Rice University, where he is majoring in religion. He is employed by North Metro First Baptist Church as a high school minister.

The wedding is planned for May 19 at North Metro First Baptist Church.

Floyd - Taylor

Mr. and Mrs. Albert O. Floyd Jr. of Stone Mountain announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Kristen Floyd of Stone Mountain, to Daniel Mack Taylor of Lilburn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Taylor of Lilburn.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion C. Mead Jr.; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert O. Floyd Sr. She is a 2005 graduate of Providence Christian Academy in Lilburn. She is attending Valdosta State University, where she is pursuing a degree in math.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Taylor of Stone Mountain; and Mrs. Glenwood Baker of Valdosta and the late Glenwood Baker. He is a 2003 graduate of Parkview High School. He is attending Valdosta State University, where he is pursuing a degree in engineering.

The wedding is planned for May 20 at the Vines Botanical Gardens in Loganville.

Chapman - Hamidi

Daniel Chapman of Dacula and Sandra Kyger of Harrisonburg, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah Marie Chapman of Harrisonburg, Va., to Adam Wali Hamidi of Silver Spring, Md., son of Abdul and Sabine Hamidi of Silver Spring, Md.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nita Chapman of Dacula and Joyce Clamp of Winder. She is a graduate of Turner Ashby High School in Bridgewater, Va. She attended Massanutten Technical Center in Harrisonburg, Va., where she received a diploma in practical nursing. She is employed by BioLife Plasma Services in Harrisonburg, Va., as a medical supervisor.

The future groom is a graduate of Paint Branch High School in Silver Spring, Md. He is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., where he received a bachelor's degree of business administration in marketing information systems. He completed his post baccalaureate in physiology at the University of Maryland in College Park, Md. He is a first-year medical student at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Fla.

The wedding is planned for June 2008.
