Evelyn Childress, age 78 of Lavonia, died Thursday, September 27, 2006. Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, October 1, 2006 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Pastor Joe Black will officiate. Burial Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville. A Homemaker, formerly of Lawrenceville, Mrs. Childress had resided in Lavonia the last 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Childress. Mrs. Childress is survived by: Sons & Daughters-in-law: Jack & Kandi Childress, Jr., MO, Brud & Wanda Childress, Braselton, Glen & Julie Childress, Anderson, SC; Sister: Virginia Tollison, Lawrenceville; Grandchildren: Melanie Childress, Wendy Sellers, Heather Childress, Brandon Childress, Savannah, Lauren & Delaney Childress; 3 Great Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Parkison's Disease Association, 1365 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA 30322.
