Paden Leon Johnson, age 82, of Duluth, GA, died Saturday, September 16, 2006. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday September 20, 2006 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Duluth Chapel. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth. Mr. Johnson, a native of Duluth, GA, was in the auto body repair business. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, a 50 year member of the Duluth American Legion post, and got much enjoyment out of shooting pool. Survivors include his son: Ken Johnson of Rome, GA; daughter: Nancy Gloyd of Dacula, GA; Grandchildren: Michael Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Lesley Gloyd, and Matthew Gloyd. Brothers: Charles Johnson and Jack Johnson, both of Duluth, GA; and 10 great-grandchildren. Elizabeth Deal "Mama Lib" Mason, 82, of Duluth, died Sunday, September 17, 2006. Mrs. Mason was originally from Evergreen, Alabama and received her college degree from Medical College of Georgia, where she met her late husband of 49 years, Dr. Miles H. Mason, Jr. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Deal. Mrs. Mason is survived by her children, Miles III (Sandy), Duluth, GA; Claude, (Vicki), Duluth, GA; James (Suzie), Dillard, GA; Beth Mozley (Jimmy), Duluth, GA; Bill (Sandra), Duluth, GA; nine grandchildren; three nieces and nephews and loving friends. Mrs. Mason was extremely dedicated to her community and family; she faithfully served Duluth and Gwinnett County for over 50 years through the Gwinnett County Board of Education (including chairperson of the board), Duluth First United Methodist Church (including chairperson of the board and numerous committees), and the Duluth High School Booster Club. Mama Lib will most definitely be remembered for her hospitality and her southern, homestyle cooking. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at Duluth First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park. Ronald (Ron) Kaluba, age 67, of Lawrenceville died Saturday, September 16, 2006. He was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Michael and Pearl Kaluba. A daughter, Kelly Anne, preceded Mr. Kaluba in death in 1967. He retired from New York Life Insurance Company in 2005. He had a great passion for music of all types, reading, and mostly his grandchildren. Mr. Kaluba is survived by his wife; Diane Kaluba, Lawrenceville, son Michael Kaluba, Marietta, daughters Dawn Kaluba, Charlotte, NC and Tracy Kaluba, Lawrenceville, granddaughters, Kelly Rayborn, Lawrenceville, Kristen Kaluba, Baton Rouge, LA and Holly Kaluba, Marietta. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday September 20, 2006 at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel and the family will receive friends from 5 PM till time of service.
