Woman killed in her home

DULUTH - Police are seeking a Duluth man wanted in connection with the slaying of his neighbor, who was found dead in her home Tuesday afternoon.

Alvenio Johnny Culpepper, 33, of 3054 Davenport Road, Apt. 1, is wanted on a felony murder charge for allegedly killing Jenny Rider Neville, 64, his next-door neighbor, said Cpl. Darren Moloney, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department.

Moloney said police responded to the call about 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Davenport and Pittard Roads.

Upon arriving at Neville's home, 3054 Davenport Road, Apt. 2, she was pronounced dead by authorities, Moloney said.

Police believe the death occurred at Neville's home, but the suspected time and date were not disclosed at press time.

Furthermore, Moloney would not comment as to a possible motive or the manner in which the alleged slaying was carried out, as the incident is still under investigation.

Police believe Culpepper fled in Neville's vehicle, a white 2003 Toyota Corolla displaying a specialty Georgia Tech license plate with tag number ST589.

His direction of travel is unknown.

Culpepper is described by police as a 6-foot-tall black man, between 187 and 211 pounds with a tattoo on his right shoulder.
