ART Station

gets a make over

STONE MOUNTAIN - Students at ART Station, a contemporary arts center in Stone Mountain Village, now have a designer visual arts classroom thanks to the creative team of TBS's "Movie and a Makeover."

TBS contacted ART Station in July requesting photos of possible "makeover rooms." When Brian Flynn, designer and producer of 6'5" Creative, saw the potential space he immediately knew this was a perfect match. Visual art classroom "C," located on the second floor of ART Station is used for children's art classes, adult classes, summer arts camp and art workshops throughout the year.

Antique farm tables got a modern makeover and were paired with contemporary chairs, paint bucket light fixtures and sleek stainless steel shelving. The new classroom seats 28 students in six workstations with direct overhead lighting to serve the smallest artist to the seasoned professional. The focal point of the room is an aqua wall featuring artwork.

TBS filmed "Movie and a Makeover" at ART Station Aug. 15 through 17. The episode will air Oct. 28 on TBS. Fall classes begin at ART Station Sept. 16. For class information call ART Station at 770-469-1105 or visit
