Thomas (Tommy) Peterson, our hero, age 6 of Lawrenceville, passed away September 3, 2006. He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Robin Peterson; sister, Megan (Sissy) Peterson; brother, Jeff (J.J.) Peterson; grandmother, Mary Lou Caudill; grandparents, J.W. and Margie Peterson. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ivan F. Caudill. Tommy was in the first grade at Knight Elementary School and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lilburn Ward. He loved to play video games, loved Sponge Bob Square Pants and always had a joke for everyone. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Cole Road and Five Forks Trickum Road, Lilburn. She attended Lawrenceville Elementary School and was a graduate of Greater Atlanta Christian School. Tara worked with her father and family for fifteen years in the Fortune Bridge Construction Company. She was President of the Hydro Action GA/FL Company, which she founded with her devoted husband Tim in 1998. Her son J.T. said of his mother, "She was always there for me and had a heart of platinum." Tara was an extraordinary, bright, sensitive, honest friend to many with a gift for listening and putting one at ease. Her smile, her sense of humor and the laughter she shared with all who knew her will be remembered and dearly missed. Tara had a deep love and appreciation of nature and for any kind of animal. She loved riding horses and playing tennis. She lost her beloved Westie Terrier "Tazz" after 18 years of loyal companionship this past year. Her love for that little friend in her life continued when Tara and Tim brought "Bella" home from the animal shelter. Harold Holton "Holt" Roberts died Saturday, September 2, 2006, from an accidental drowning. Holt was 19 years old. Born and raised in Snellville, Georgia, Holt attended Brookwood High School and was in the Construction Management Program at Gwinnett Technical College. Holt loved sports! As a kid, he participated in judo, in-line speed skating, and down hill mountain biking. His true sports love came out as a young boy in the form of roller hockey, where he played on a travel team out of South Gwinnett Athletic Assoc., called Skaters Xtreme. In high school, his hockey love shifted to ice hockey, where he played on both a travel team and the Brookwood team. In addition to hockey, Holt loved wake boarding, sailing, and fishing at a family vacation home in Michigan. His newest sports love was snow boarding in Colorado, where his family now lives. Hunting quail in Illinois on the family farm, and going to the beach in Florida, where family also lived, were also his passion. Holt had a true love of life. His smile would light up a room, and his laugh was infectious. He was extremely close to his family and they shared a wonderful and unique love. Holt is survived by his parents, Brent and Deb Roberts, and the sister he adored, Sarah. He is also survived by his grandmother, JoAnn Holton, of Illinois, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Holt is also survived by his true love, Lindsey Newlon and his beloved dog, Rasta. Holt touched the lives of many people and will truly be missed. We love you, sweet boy!
