Genevieve (Genny) Czerniawski, age 74 of Lilburn, Georgia, joined God's Angels September 2, 2006. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, 7 months, Walter (Sonny) Czerniawski; daughter Christine Czerniawski, Long Island, NY; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and C.J. Czerniawski of Decatur, GA; sister, Helen Lemcke, Snellville, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Walter W. Czerniawski, Jr. Mrs. Czerniawski, a homemaker, was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to the Atlanta area 30 years ago. She was an active member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church where she was a wedding coordinator, and involved with the Columbiettes, Euchristic Ministry and president of the Hilltoppers. She also loved her role as a seamstress for the parish. She was an avid animal lover who greatly enjoyed dog sitting for her friends. A funeral mass will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with Fr. Young serving as Officiant.
