David Henry Abrams, age 80, of Snellville, GA, died August 31, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Pearl R. Abrams; Daughters, Sue Abrams Harned (Paul J.) of Lilburn, GA, Sharon H. Peters (Ted G.) of Snellville; Sisters, Paula Blake of Florida, Frances Domb of New Jersey; Grandchildren, Tara & Quinn Harned, Hunter Hickox, Dinisha Rogers. He was a member of D.A.V. Post 90. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Embracing Hospice or the American Heart Association. Services will be held 2:00pm Sunday, September 3, 2006 at Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel. Dale N. Sims of Winder, died Wednesday, August 30, 2006 after a brief illness at the age of 66. Born in Hiawassee, Georgia, he was the son of Nannie Rose Sims Tathum and the late Ray Sims. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Beth Neal Sims, son, Alan N. Sims of Washington D.C., daughter, Betsy Sims Parker, son-in-law, Bayne Parker of Grayson, and five grandchildren. Additional living family include his brother, Bruce Sims, and sister, Camilla Hogsed (Mrs. France Hogsed), both of Hiawassee, and several nieces. Dale was the founder and owner of Dale Sims Incorporated, a commercial heating and air conditioning business. He was a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and small group leader at Bethlehem First Baptist Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Cold War era. He had the heart of a servant and took a leadership role in missionary activities; Dale took his greatest pleasure in helping others. Services will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Saturday, September 2nd at 11:00 am, with Dr. Jody Hice, Rev. Mike Peavy, Rev. Mike Davis and Dr. Ron Long officiating. Visitation will be Friday, September 1st at Smith Funeral Home from 3 to 5 and from 6 to 8 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the Bethlehem First Baptist Church Building Fund. Interment will be at Barrow Memorial Gardens. Dale will be missed by all who knew him.
