AUBURN - An early morning blaze at 159 Elk Grove Drive in Auburn led to the arrest of one of the home's residents.
Douglas Neville, 30, was arrested by Auburn police in connection with a 3:30 a.m. fire at the home he rented with an unidentified woman. The home suffered damage to the roof and throughout the residence before Barrow County firefighters extinguished the blaze. Neville was charged with first-degree arson, battery and domestic violence, three counts of criminal damage to property and obstruction of 911 calls. Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire, and Neville could face more charges as the investigation progresses, Sgt. Lee Lapsky of the Auburn Police Department said.More like this story
