Mrs. Sylvia Lucile Harris Avera, age 83 of McDonough, previously of Norcross, passed away Friday, October 27, 2006 at Cornerstone Health & Rehabilitation. She was born September 26, 1923 in Clarkston, GA to the late Arthur Tandy Harris and Mary Elizabeth Pounds. She was a member of McDonough Baptist Tabernacle; retired after 11 years with John Deere and enjoyed crafts, scrap booking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, J.T. Avera.
