Station robbed

•DULUTH - The Shell Gas Station at 3841 Satellite Blvd. was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday, according to a police report.

The clerk working at the station said he opened the cash register as the suspect wanted to purchase some chewing gum and the suspect reached into the drawer and grabbed some money.

According to police reports, the clerk said he noticed the suspect had a silver handgun, the suspect took about $50 in $10 bills and fled on foot on Steve Reynolds Boulevard.

As far as any suspects, police say investigations are still ongoing.

Man robbed in Mall of Georgia parking lot

•BUFORD - An Afterhours employee, 34, was robbed in the parking lot of the Mall of Georgia on Tuesday night.

The man was approached by two men while at a bus stop located outside the mall's east side exit.

According to the police report, the victim said one of the men hit him in the head with a semi-automatic handgun and then demanded his wallet. The alleged suspects took $40 and both men fled the area.

The victim refused treatment, but suffered no life-threatening injuries.

Police said investigations are still ongoing.

Woman accused of crying wolf

•LILBURN - A Lilburn woman, 22, was arrested Monday on charges of falsely reporting a crime.

Gwinnett County Police responded to a residence where a woman claimed someone had broken into her house.

Policed arrived to find the person she claimed was robbing her was her boyfriend. She denied making the call.

While on the scene, police where able to confirm the call came from the woman's personal phone, according to the police report.

Police then arrested the woman. She was released on $1,200 bond Monday.
