Mrs. Ruth Willene Ashworth Merritt, age 90, of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2006. Mrs. Merritt was a native of Forsyth County. She was a member of the Cumming Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Era Ashworth; her husbands William Clarence Cheek, Leonard Forrest Cole, and James Cleon Merritt; her brothers Carrol Ashworth, and Egbert Ashworth. Survivors include Daughters and sons in law Bonnie and Jim Vickery, Cumming, Mary Evelyn and Danny Hays, Cumming, Pamela and Phil Estes, Cumming; Grandchildren Sherri and David Pace, Commerce, Terri and Glenn Handrop, Cumming, Dorie and Phil Hutfilz, Cumming, Melissa Estes, Cumming, Kelli Hays, Cumming; Great Grandchildren Chad Handrop, Adam Pace, Olivia Hutfilz and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral Services will be held Friday 4:00 p.m. October 13, 2006 Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mark Harrison, Officiating. Interment in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. Ingram Funeral Home, Cumming, Georgia, in charge of arrangements.
