Bill McKinnon, of Dacula, GA, son of the late James and Rebecca McKinnon, went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 6th. Funeral services to be officiated by Rev. Vernon Smith and Rev. Jeff Parmer and held at Ebenezer Baptist Church at 3:30pm on Sunday, October 8th with remains placed in state at 3pm. Graveside service to follow at Gwinnett Memorial Gardens. Bill was born August 19th, 1928 and had resided in Dacula, GA, for the past 36 years with his wife, and was past High Priest of the Royal Arch Masons Chapter, Master of N.T. Pirkle Council #65, a member of Daylight Lodge #744, and was past president and a member of the board of trustees of Gwinnett Masonic Widows Fund Association. Above all this, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed. Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Peggy; his daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Bobby Cain and Shlaine and Ricky Cottingham; his daughter and son, Donna Metheny and Jonathan McKinnon; 5 grandchildren, Lindy Strickland, Tracy Etheridge, Kelly Ford, and Ashley and Tyler Cottingham; and 4 great grandchildren, all of which continue to reside in Dacula. He is also survived by his sister, Estelle Callahan of Rome, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
