Lions' BlairArmstrong on Coaches Corner

Peachtree Ridge head football coach Blair Armstrong is this week's guest on Coaches Corner, a local high school sports TV show.

Norcross is the Team of the Week, Greater Atlanta Christian's Lee Chapple is Player of the Week and North Gwinnett is Cheerleading Team of the Week. The team to watch is Dacula North's 6- and 7-year-old football team. The show airs Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. on Comcast channel 25 as well as on Charter channel 19 at 7 and 8 p.m.

Play-by-Play Advertising also will show Friday's Charlton County at Buford football playoff game next week on tape delay.

The re-broadcast will be Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Comcast channel 25 and Wednesday at 7 p.m. on Charter channel 19.

GAC football feature on Prep Sports Plus

GAC senior football players T-Bob Hebert, Landon Bennett and Lee Chapple will be featured on this week's episode of Prep Sports Plus, Georgia Public Broadcasting's weekly high school sports TV show. The players are spotlighted for the "Cream of the Crop" segment that highlights college football recruits.

Prep Sports Plus airs today at 7:30 p.m. on GPB.

Collins Hill baseball selling Christmas trees

The Collins Hill baseball team is selling Frazer Fir Christmas trees at the corner of Lawrenceville Suwanee and Taylor Road.

The team is selling trees from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

All trees are number 1's-grade A, ranging from six to 10 feet tall and are priced to sell.

Arkansas RB one of five finalists for national award

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Arkansas tailback Darren McFadden is one of five finalists for the 2006 Walter Camp Player of the Year Award.

McFadden joins West Virginia running back Steve Slaton as one of two sophomores on the finalist list. Rounding out the list of finalists are Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith, Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn and Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan.
