Two men rob Snellville Waffle House

SNELLVILLE - Police continue to look for two men who robbed a Snellville Waffle House on Saturday.

According to a police report, witnesses said two black men armed with handguns came into the restaurant around midnight.

The suspects told the employees and customers to get down on the ground, while one suspect had an employee open the cash register.

The men took nearly $500 from the register and fled the restaurant on foot.

Police with K-9s arrived at the scene and surveyed the area, determining the men fled on foot and then got into a vehicle near the rear of the parking lot.

Witnesses and victims said the men were dressed in dark clothing, one wearing a gray mask, and were possibly in their 20s or late teens.

Man charged with impersonating police officer

LAWRENCEVILLE - A Lawrenceville man was arrested Friday and charged with impersonating a police officer while at the Discover Mills shopping mall.

According to the report, Edwin O. Cole, 33, of 1108 Windy Hill Point, identified himself as a Lawrenceville police officer to the mall's assistant director when he was asked to move from obstructing an aisle inside the shopping mall.

The assistant director suspected the man was not a police officer, according to the report.

An off-duty officer working in the mall was contacted and Cole was arrested. Cole told police he identified himself as an officer because he wanted to be left alone while in the mall.

Man robs SunTrust bank

DACULA - Investigators are continuing to look for a man who robbed a SunTrust Bank on Saturday.

A bank teller told police a man walked into the bank inside the Publix grocery store on Dacula Road and handed her a note telling her he had a gun and demanding money.

The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, fleeing on foot to a gray passenger car and driving in the direction of Dacula Road, according to a police report.

Police will review surveillance video from the bank and the grocery store for more information.

Three teens arrested in string of robberies

LAWRENCEVILLE - Three Lawrenceville teens were arrested and charged with robbing a number of businesses over the last month.

Brandon Cantrell, 17, of 1092 Country Court, Wilbert Green, 17, of 3120 Park Creek Court and Reginald Marrow, 18, of 3112-B Ferrite Loop allegedly robbed the USA store on 2771 Cruse Road in Lawrenceville and the Subway restaurant at 3655 Club Drive in Lawrenceville, The robberies took place in October and November.

According to a police report, Cantrell is also believed to have robbed Lawrenceville Seafood at 2785 Cruse Road and the Lucky Dollar store located at 1135 Herrington Road.

All three teens were taken to the Gwinnett County Jail on Nov. 21.
