Deer runs
into patrol car•WINDER - A sheriff's deputy was driving west on Ga. Highway 316 near Winder at 2:35 a.m. on Nov. 5 when a deer jumped in front of his patrol car, according to an incident report by the Barrow County Sheriff's Office. The deputy swerved into the left lane, but the deer still struck the patrol car, damaging its front, hood and passenger side mirror. The officer was on his way to assist a motorist when the accident happened. Cable television equipment missing from subdivisions•WINDER - An employee with Comcast cable in Winder reported equipment missing from two subdivisions. On Nov. 3 the employee told a sheriff's deputy that one black power supply module valued at $902 and three silver amplifiers valued at $589 each were missing from the power supply cabinets in Ashbrooke Subdivision off Haymon Morris Road. One black power supply module and one silver amplifier of the same values were also reported missing from the power supply cabinet in Avalon Village subdivision on Silvergate Way. - From staff reportsMore like this story
