LILBURN - A Lilburn man was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday morning at a local apartment complex.
According to a police report, the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. at 818 Stoneview Trail in the Villas at Indian Trail apartments in Lilburn. The victim told police he parked his car outside his residence and got out when two men - one black (possibly Hispanic) and one Hispanic - approached him and asked for a light, the report said. When the victim told the men he didn't smoke, the black man grabbed him around the neck in a choke-type hold, put a gun to his head and threatened to shoot if he moved, the report said. The Hispanic man patted the victim down and pulled an undisclosed amount of cash from his pants pocket. Also reported stolen was a watch worth approximately $1,000. No shots were reported fired. The suspects then fled the scene, and as of Wednesday evening had not been arrested, said Sgt. Tyler Thomas, spokesman for the Lilburn Police Department. The black man was wearing a black jacket with a hood and jeans, while the Hispanic man was casually dressed and had long brown hair, the victim told police. Anyone with information is asked to call the police.More like this story
