Separate sealed Bids for the relocation of a 4-inch polyethylene natural gas main and other related gas facilities located along Gravel Springs Road (S.R. 324) will be received by the City of Buford at City Hall located at 2300 Buford Highway, Buford, Georgia, until 10:00 A.M. local time, November 27, 2006, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The project generally includes the installation of approximately 4,500 linear feet of 4-inch polyethylene natural gas main, natural gas services, line valves and other appurtenances. The new facilities will replace existing facilities that are in conflict with Gwinnett County Department of Transportation Road Improvement Program project no. 9532-00. The location of the Work is south of the City of Buford, along S.R. 324 from southeastern side of Interstate 85 to S.R. 124.

No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds Georgia State contractor's License of proper classification and in full force and effect, in compliance with Act. O. C.G.A. 43-14. Contractor must be a qualified natural gas contractor under the laws of the State of Georgia and must comply with any Federal, State, and City guidelines and regulations.

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Emergency Repair Services For Water And Sewer Mains On An Annual Contract with two additional one year options to renew. Sealed bids will be received by the Gwinnett County Purchasing Office, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30045 until 2:50 P.M. local time on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 and then publicly opened and read aloud at 3:00 P.M. Any bid received after 2:50 P.M. will not be accepted. Bid envelope must be marked on the outside with Bid Number, name of Bidder, date and time of opening and Utility Contractor's License Number. Failure to display Utility Contractor's License Number will result in the return of bid.

The intent of this Contract is to provide a means for the County to respond to sudden or unforeseen failures or malfunctions of existing water mains, their appurtenances; gravity sewers, their appurtenances; and all force mains. Such emergencies include water main breaks and leaks, interruptions of water distribution or transmission services, any work associated with sewer line failures, any work associated with force mains, failures resulting in danger to life, health, or property, or other imminent threats to the public health, safety, or well-being through sabotage, failure or malfunction of the existing water and /or sewer supply system. This will include approximately 30" - 78" size PCCP and Steel pipe. The successful contractor shall provide labor, equipment, and materials as needed to assist the County with the scope of work as determined by the County.
