SUGAR HILL - Gwinnett County police continue to investigate the deaths of a man and a woman who were found Friday night in the driveway of a home in Sugar Hill.
Justin Peacock, 26, and Angel Welch, 29, were found dead in a dark blue sport-utility vehicle that was backed into the driveway of 5745 Stephens Mill Drive, said Cpl. Darren Moloney, the spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department. Both had suffered gunshot wounds, and a handgun was found at the scene. The incident appears to be murder-suicide, but police have not identified the aggressor. Autopsy results were not available Saturday, Moloney said. A 6-year-old boy, who was believed to have been in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, and a 14-year-old girl, who was possibly at a friend's house at the time of the incident, are now in the custody of Welch's family, Moloney said. The boy is the child of the unmarried couple, and the girl is a daughter from a previous relationship, he said.More like this story
