SUGAR HILL - Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide that occurred Friday night in the driveway of a home in Sugar Hill.
Cpl. Darren Moloney, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department, said police were dispatched to a call of shots fired about 8 p.m. at 5745 Stephens Mill Drive in Sugar Hill. Moloney said a black man and woman were found dead from gunshot wounds in a dark blue SUV that was backed into the driveway. Moloney said police found a handgun at the scene. The 6-year-old son of the unmarried couple, who was believed to be in the vehicle when the incident occurred, ran to the home of a friend whose parents called 911, Moloney said. Other neighbors heard multiple shots and called 911 as well, Moloney said. Moloney also said the 14-year-old daughter of one of the deceased may have been staying at a friend's house, as she was not home at the time of the shooting. As of Friday night, the names of the man and woman had not been released, as authorities were trying to track down family members. Moloney did not specify who the aggressor was but said it appears to be a murder-suicide.More like this story
