LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett County commissioners will consider a renewal of their 18-month-old red-light camera program Tuesday.
On the board's agenda is a $251,940 contract with LaserCraft for equipment and maintenance of the system in 2007. The county spent the same amount on its previous contract and received revenues of $464,943 from January to September of this year. Gwinnett County police have stationed cameras at three intersections - Jimmy Carter Boulevard at Singleton Road, Oakbrook Parkway at Indian Trail Road and Winder Highway at Ga. Highway 316. Duluth, Lilburn, Snellville, Suwanee and Norcross also have red-light camera programs.More like this story
