WINDER - A Statham man was killed Saturday and two men are in custody, charged with his murder.
Chief Deputy Murray Kogod, spokesman for the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, said 22-year-old Aaron Lamar Gaddis was killed by a single gunshot wound around 10 p.m. Saturday night.
Police were called to the Barrow County Regional Medical Center, where Gaddis was pronounced dead. County investigators and those from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Athens Office investigated the shooting and arrested 26-year-old Maurice Flourney, of Monroe, and 28-year-old Michael Antonio Williams, of Stone Mountain, Kogod said. DeKalb County investigators assisted in Williams' arrest.
Kogod said he did not have time to discuss the details of the case, but that both men are being held at the Barrow County Detention Center.
They are each charged with one count of malice murder, one count of felony murder, three counts of kidnapping, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of armed robbery and three counts of false imprisonment. Additional charges are possible.
