Smith - Walton

Rebecca Motte Smith and Christopher Luke Walton were married June 25, 2005 at Cannon United Methodist Church in Snellville. The Rev. Dr. Terry Walton, the groom's father, officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pete and Carolyn Smith of Snellville. She is a 1999 graduate of Brookwood High School and a 2002 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in exercise science. She is a 2005 magna cum laude graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is employed at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville as a registered nurse.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Terry and Sharon Walton of Gainesville. He is a 1999 graduate of Brookwood High School and a 2003 cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor's degree in marketing. He is employed as a senior customer relations manager at Pulte Homes.

Terilyn Renee Walton of Atlanta served as the bride's maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Ashley Faulkner Sullivan of Grayson and Rana Yasmin Khan of Raleigh, N.C.

Benjamin Keith Walton of Gaffney, S.C., served as the groom's best man.

Groomsmen were Peter Griffin Smith Jr. of Austin, Texas, and Jeffrey McMillian Nixon of Atlanta.

After a cruise to the Caribbean, the couple now resides in Duluth.

Stillwell - Torrens

Laura Joyce Stillwell and Ryan Michael Torrens were married April 15 at the Magnolia Terrace in Helen. The Rev. Turner officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Stan and Cathy Miller of Snellville. She is a 1999 graduate of South Gwinnett High School and works at Gwinnett Medical Center.

The groom is the son of Al and Sandy Torrens of Lawrenceville. He is a 1999 graduate of Brookwood High School and works for U.S. Foods.

After a trip to Maui, the couple now resides in Loganville.
