Mrs. Elizabeth T. Arnold, age 56, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2006. She is survived by: Husband of 31 Years: (Coach) Mr. Gerald C. Arnold, Buford, GA; Daughter: Anastasia Arnold, Buford, GA; Son: Joshua Arnold, Buford, GA; Brother: Ted Tsolovos, Columbia, SC; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-Law: Milton and Donna Arnold, Tucker, GA, Tony and Bridget Arnold, Cary, NC; Aunts, Uncles, Five Nieces, and Nephews and several Cousins. Mrs. Arnold was born on May 24, 1949 in Columbia, SC. She received her education from Columbia Public School System where she graduated from Columbia High School, Class of 1967. She attended Columbia College where she graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She also received her Monasterial degree in 1980 in Atlanta, GA. She taught at Spring Valley High School for one year before coming to Atlanta to work for the Atlanta Board of Education for seven years. She taught at the Old Hoke Smith High School and also taught at the Moreland Avenue Baptist Church Pre-School program in Atlanta, GA. She also taught in Decatur at Arbor Montessori School and Oakgrove Methodist Pre-School. After moving to Buford, she began teaching as a para-professional with the Buford City School System for eight years. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral Of The Annunciation Church in Decatur where she taught Pre-School and Sunday School. She was an excellent cook and entertained in both the Greek and American cuisine. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at 12:00 Noon at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral Of The Annunciation Church in Decatur, GA with Father Paul Keriotis officiating. An additional funeral service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Mr. Leonard "Bud" Holcomb, age 84, of Buford, GA passed away on May 21, 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Maddox Holcomb; son, Johnny Holcomb; and daughters, Evelyn Waycaster and Bobbie Stewart. Mr. Holcomb was a native of Gwinnett County, GA. He was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army. He retired after 12 years of service as a mechanic for the City of Buford. Rebecca H. Reynolds, age 88, of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2006. Rebecca was born in Seneca, South Carolina, and was one of ten children, with 5 brothers and 4 sisters. At age 10 they moved to Toccoa, Georgia. At the age of 20, she moved to Commerce to work in the family business, Harper's 5 and 10 Cent Store. While in Commerce, she met and married her husband, Steve, on November 19, 1939. Their only child, David was born there in 1941. Rebecca was a member of Commerce & Lawrenceville Presbyterian Churches and was actively involved in church activities, especially, vacation bible school. She helped with all her son's school activities. Rebecca was a source of humor and laughter. Making people laugh was her favorite activity. She loved doing Minnie Pearl and may old folks believed she was. She loved and was loved by many people. She is survived by her husband of 67 years: Steve Reynolds; son & daughter in law: Dr. David Waldo & Trula Reynolds of Birmingham, AL; brother: Louis Harper of Walhalla, SC; sister: Maka Rountree of Toccoa, GA; grandchildren: Melissa & her husband, Chance Turner, Anna Reynolds, Annette Reynolds, mother of Missy & Anna, all of Birmingham, AL; great grandchildren: Lyra Belisle; many nieces and nephews; greatest friend & caregiver: Mae Anderson; loving & caring neighbors: Bill & Betty Atkinson & children especially Karen A. Eleanor Lorenz Becker, 73, of Lilburn, GA died Thursday, May 18, 2006 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. Funeral Services were held Monday, May 22, 2006 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Pearson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Becker was born in Louisville, Kentucky, a daughter of the late William B. and Mary Rutherford Lorenz. She was a graduate of Georgetown College and a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, John Marshall Chapter. Mrs. Becker was an avid collector. Her collections included antiques, dolls and various other items. She loved to dance and was a very good Poker player. Survivors include her husband, Robert Clayton Becker of Lilburn, GA; two sons, Steven (Cecilia) Becker of Raleigh, NC and John (Amy) Becker of Atlanta, GA; two daughters, Patricia (Dale) Brown of Richmond, KY and Dr. Carolyn (Mark) Reynolds of Florence, SC; and nine grandchildren. Amber "Angel Baby" Worley, age 20 of Snellville, GA died May 20, 2006. She is survived by her father, Jack Ronald Worley of Snellville; mother, Joni Lynn Walker of Snellville and her fiance Neal Edgens; brother, Jack Ronald Worley, Jr. of Snellville; grandparents, Charles and Audrey Walker of Loganville, Jack and Willene Worley of Buford; aunts and uncles, Theresa Thigpen and her husband, Mike and their children, Ambers Cousins Ian, Chris and Jesse; Debbie Worley, son, Adam Stubbs, Lawana and Mike Poss and cousins, Sarah, Michael, Mollie and James Poss; dear friend, Chris Williams. Her friend, Ryan Dawson Hunter of Snellville was also killed in the same accident. Ms. Worley attended Grayson High School. She was a beautiful person and was loved by many. She loved to bake for her family and friends and had a lot of empathy for children, senior citizens and handicap individuals. She was currently working on her apprenticeship in cosmetology at Salon J. Christian, in Stone Mountain. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 26 at 1:00pm at Wages Snellville Chapel with Rev. Jack Ballard officiating. Interment at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 9pm at the funeral home.
