LAWRENCEVILLE - A 26-year-old man was found shot to death Wednesday evening in his girlfriend's driveway, according to Gwinnett County police.
Authorities are still looking for the person or people who killed Hijarah Buchanan, who was staying at his girlfriend's Norcross-area apartment at 926 Amberly Drive.
Investigators are unsure exactly what led to the shooting. They are depending in part on Buchanan's girlfriend - whose name was not released - to help piece things together.
Apparently, the woman drove Buchanan to her apartment, he got out of the car and walked up to another vehicle nearby, police said. She drove away, turned the car around and had started back when the shots were fired.
The incident happened about 6:30 p.m.
Investigators do not have a solid description of the suspects or their vehicle, but they believe Buchanan knew his killers.
