Society doing good work to save animals

I certainly did enjoy the enlightening article Christy Smith did on the Society of Humane Friends in Lawrenceville ("Abused dogs, cats find loving owners thanks to Society of Humane Friends," Page 1A, May 4).

I am the one that adopted little Katie. Christy did a wonderful job writing how great Dennis Kronenfeld, his wife JoAnn, friend Mary, and the Roswell veterinarian are because they do such a wonderful job finding loving homes for the animals they are helping to save.

This article is close to my heart especially since Katie is the second animal I have adopted from them in the past six months.

Your newspaper and its articles regarding animals are certainly helping make the public aware of what's going on with the animals in today's world. I wish more newspapers would pick up these stories.
