Mr. John T. Godbee, age 85 of Buford, GA died Saturday, May 6, 2006 after a brief illness. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Tom Berdett will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens, Buford. The Family will receive friends on Monday, May 8, 2006 from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Godbee was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lois Godbee. Surviving are, Daughter and Son-in-law, Mary Joan and Alvin Sims, Nicholson; Son and Daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Kathi Godbee, Summerfield, NC; 6 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Dorothy L. Lowry, Lilburn, June Gillespie, Lilburn. Mr. Godbee was a native of Carroll County, GA and lived in the area the past 23 years.
