Beck - Whitworth

Ronnie and Donna Beck of Cedartown announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Suzanne Beck, to Markus William Whitworth, son of Jimmy and Debbie Whitworth of Lawrenceville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Derrell and Betty Jones and Jean and the late James Winfred Beck, all of Cave Spring. She is a 2000 graduate of Cedartown High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of West Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in marketing. She plans to graduate from the University of West Georgia in July with a master's degree in business administration. She is employed at Ken Adams' State Farm Insurance in Carrollton.

The future groom is the grandson of Bob and Doris Jennings and Louise Whitworth, all of Lawrenceville. He is a 1996 graduate of Central Gwinnett High School and a 1999 graduate of Truett McConnell College, where he received an an associate's degree in business. He works at Custom Air Concepts in Winder.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 5 at Little Gardens Estate.

Galbraith - Sutton

Dr. and Mrs. John Neil Galbraith of Chattanooga, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Beth Galbraith, to Brandon Charles Sutton, son of Sandra and Edward Sutton of Suwanee.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Galbraith of Magnolia, Ark., and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crump of Jasper, Ala. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Georgia and is pursuing a master's degree in professional counseling from Georgia State University.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Sutton of Pendergrass and Blanche Nix and the late Lum Nix of Gainesville. He received a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from the University of Georgia and is employed as a landscape architect at Tunnell-Spangler-Walsh and Associates of Atlanta.

The wedding is planned for May 27 at First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga.

Hanada - Corbin

Eric and Anne Kelley Hanada of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Susanne Kelley Hanada, to Michael Allen Corbin, son of Terrell and Sara Culberson and the late Mark D. Corbin of Duluth.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis X. Kelley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Keichii Hanada. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing from the Medical College of Georgia and is employed at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bucker of Newark, Ohio and Mr. and Mrs. Oli Lay of Heath, Ohio and the late Lloyd Corbin. He received a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Georgia and is employed at BellSouth.

The wedding is planned for June 3 at Catholic Church of St. Monica's.

Gretz - Wright

Judy Gretz of Acworth announces the engagement of her daughter, Robbyn Gabrielle Gretz, to Benjamin Scott Wright, son of Jeff and Sarah Wright of Flowery Branch.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Kenn Gretz Jr. and the granddaughter of Odell and Mildred Arnold of Texas. She is a graduate of The American School and is a senior at Toccoa Falls College majoring in early childhood education.

The future groom is the grandson of Joe and Mary Wright of Buford and Frances Shumaker and the late Elmer Shumaker of Atlanta. He is a graduate of West Hall High School and is a junior at Toccoa Falls College majoring in mass communications.

The wedding is planned for July 15 at Acworth United Methodist Church.

Long - Smith

Mr. and Mrs. William Dean Long Jr. of Dacula announce the engagement of their daughter, Jaletta Renee Long, to Andrew F. Smith, son of Diane Smith and Skip Smith of Taylors, S.C.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Long Sr. of Lawrenceville and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Brown of Wittier, N.C., and the late Jaletta Harper Brown of Villa Rica. She is a 2005 graduate of Clemson University, where she received a bachelor's degree in communication and a bachelor's degree in Spanish with a minor in psychology. She is employed as a legal assistant with the Gwinnett County Solicitor's Office.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Robinson of Townville, S.C., and Juanite Kitchen and the late Cletus Smith of Lexington, S.C. He is a 2005 graduate of Clemson University, where he received a bachelor's degree in business management. He is a second lieutenant with the Air Force stationed in San Antonio, where he is undergoing navigator training.

The wedding is planned for Dec. 30 at Lawrenceville First Baptist Church.
