Woven into the fabric of our minds, hearts, and souls is the influence that Clinton L. Chandler has had on our lives. He was preceded in crossing the River Jordan by Parents, Rev. W. Fred Chandler and Mrs. Ruby Chandler of Pleasant Hill Road in Rockdale County, and by Sister, Myrtle Broadnax. He is survived by Wife of 56 years, Bonnie Sibyl Moore Chandler; Sons & Daughters-in-law and their Daughters: Mike & Sherrie Chandler, Lee Anne & Christa of Rockdale County, Melvin & Marsha Chandler, Heather, Jennifer, & Jessica of Gwinnett County; Brothers: Weyman Chandler and Ronnie Chandler; Sister: Dean Stephenson; Several Nieces & Nephews. Clinton proudly served in the Armed Forces of our Country and was stationed in Heilbronn, Germany with the 9th Infantry Division. After being honorably discharged from the Army on January 31, 1958, he went to work for the Clorox Company and was employed there from 1962 until retirement in 1993. Since then Clinton has battled heart and lung disease. His quality of life has been more enjoyable during this battle because of the dedication of his Doctor and Friend, Dr. Kenneth A. Hoose, Jr. and the Staff at the Dekalb Medical Center. Clinton was a proud member of Peachtree Road Baptist Church, Suwanee. He will be sent to his reward by his three Brothers-in-law: Dr. Tolbert Moore, Dr. Preston Moore, and Rev. Jim Moore, on Saturday at 3 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church located on Pleasant Hill Road in Rockdale County. The remains will be placed instate at 2 PM. Interment Sodom Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-9 PM and Saturday from 1-2 PM at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 2246 Wisteria Drive, Snellville, GA 30078, 770-979-5010.
