Woman arrested after arguing with cop

•NORCROSS - A 40-year-old Doraville woman was arrested Saturday after arguing with a police officer who was directing traffic around an automobile accident scene on Graves Road.

The officer was directing traffic through a parking lot when he noticed a blue Nissan Pathfinder attempting to skirt around him and head into oncoming traffic, according to a police report. The officer told the driver, Phelicia Holden, to back up and go the way he was directing her, but she allegedly yelled that she wanted to go her way.

The officer tried again to tell the woman she would be arrested if she didn't comply with his directions. She reportedly backed up, striking the officer with her mirror. He yelled for her to halt and attempted to walk around her car to the driver's side, but she again backed up and jostled the officer with her bumper, the police report said.

The officer noted that Holden refused to get out and continued to argue with him, so she had to be physically removed from the vehicle. She was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to obey an officer directing traffic.
