WINDER - Barrow County residents will have a chance to learn about health and human services resources in the county at an annual fair to be held Tuesday.
The sixth annual Best of Barrow will feature information about new Medicaid and Peachcare requirements, blood pressure tests and health screenings, door prizes, fingerprint cards for children and other interactive activities.
Last year, more than 100 people attended the fair, which will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Barrow County Leisure Services Building.
The fair promotes different social services and other agencies in the county and raises awareness about opportunities available for residents, Family Connection Executive Director Jennifer Cantwell said.
More than 40 groups will be in attendance, teaching participants about everything from osteoporosis to gangs in Barrow County.
