James Thomas Burton, Jr., age 47 of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2006. James previously owned and operated Little Jimmy's Meat Market in Dacula. He served as a Police Officer with the City of Lawrenceville, the City of Norcross and, as well, a Deputy with the Gwinnett Sheriff's Department. He is survived by his wife: Linda A. Burton; children: Jason L. Burton of Winder, GA, Amy Burton of Dacula, GA, Michelle L. Maddalena of Dawsonville, GA, A. J. & Jennifer Maddalena of Winder, GA; parents: James T. Sr. and Wylene Burton of Dacula, GA; brother & sister in law: Larry W. & Michelle Burton of Dacula, GA; sister & brother in law: Melinda & Danny Crowe of Dacula, GA; granddaughter: Katelynn Annabelle Maddalena; grandparents: J. P. & Jessie M. Toney of Monroe, GA; preceded in death by his grandparents: William G. & Annie Lee Burton; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and a friend to everyone he met. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Rev. Duke Forster & Pastor Mike Riley officiating. Burial will be at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, GA, 770-277-4550.
