LAKE LANIER - A 17-year-old Lawrenceville boy drowned in Lake Lanier early Saturday morning.
The teen fell off a boat dock at the lake shortly after midnight, Hall County Major Jeff Strickland said. TV news reports identified him as Jerrold M. Griggs. Sheriff's deputies responded to a possible drowning at a boat dock at 6321 Woodlake Trail in Buford. They found the teenager in about 17 feet of water just after 3 a.m., Strickland said. Seven teens who were also attending a party at the residence were arrested and charged with underage consumption of alcohol, he said. All were between the ages of 17 and 20. - From staff reportsMore like this story
