The Gwinnett Tipoff Club selected the best from the 2005-2006 high school basketball season, and those players and coaches will be honored at a banquet today at South Gwinnett High School.

Collins Hill's Maya Moore and Norcross' Jodie Meeks, both members of state title teams, received the Player of the Year awards for girls and boys. The Coach of the Year awards all went to coaches whose teams won state championships - Norcross' Eddie Martin in boys and Wesleyan's Jan Azar and Collins Hill's Tracey Tipton in girls.

Azar's team and Tipton's squad also shared Girls Team of the Year. The Boys Team of the Year went to Martin's Blue Devils.
