Women's bathroom vandalized at park
•LILBURN - Someone vandalized the women's bathroom at Mountain Park Park at 5050 Five Forks Trickum Road in Lilburn, according to a police report.
The maintenance foreman discovered that the toilet paper had been burned, melting the dispenser and causing smoke damage to the bathroom wall. The incident reportedly occurred between 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Monday.
Two men mugged outside apartment
•NORCROSS - Two men were mugged at gunpoint Tuesday at Harbinwoods Apartments at 4648 Harbinwoods Drive.
The victims were standing outside an apartment talking about 9:15 p.m. when they observed a black or dark green Cadillac Escalade with 20-inch chrome rims and gold trimming pass by. A short time later, two men came from around the corner of the building with bandannas concealing the lower half of their faces, according to a police report.
The suspects ordered the victims to get on the ground and struck one of them on the head with the barrel of a gun, the report said.
The robbers took their wallets and fled in the Escalade. The suspects were both described as black men between 18 and 25 years old. One suspect wore a black bandanna and baseball cap; the other wore a red bandanna and baseball cap.
La Favorita grocery store robbed
•NORCROSS - The Supermercado La Favorita at Cedar Village Shopping Center on Jimmy Carter Boulevard was robbed Tuesday.
The suspect entered the building about noon and walked around the store before approaching the register to ask the price of an item, according to a police report. The man, who appeared to be drunk, reportedly pulled out a knife and ordered the cashier to open the register.
The cashier stepped back and shook her head, saying no. The robber then reached over, opened the register himself and withdrew the cash. He is described as a Hispanic man in his mid-40s with no facial hair, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 140 pounds.
The cashier told police the suspect fled toward a nearby apartment complex.
