LAWRENCEVILLE - Four adults were displaced by a house fire and assisted by Red Cross on Thursday afternoon.
A woman was the only resident home at the time of the fire at 201 Omega Drive and escaped uninjured, said Thomas Rutledge, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Fire Department. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy flames and smoke showing from the two-story house. Firefighters were unable to control the blaze because of the heat until it broke through the roof, Rutledge said. No cause of the fire has been determined, but investigators said it appears to be accidental.More like this story
