Mrs. Karen Utes, age 62, of Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Charles Utes. She is survived by her: Sons: Michael C. Utes, Homer, GA, Robert T. Utes, Jefferson, GA; Grandsons: Dustin R. Utes, Oxford, GA, Kristoffer M. Utes, Buford, GA; Brother: Ronald Fischer, Phoenix, AZ. Mrs. Utes was born on March 22, 1944 in Chicago, IL. She was employed with the Gwinnett County Library System and worked in both Buford and Lawrenceville. She was an accomplished pianist, an Alto tennis player and ping pong player. She played in the Senior Olympics and won a gold medal in ping pong and a silver medal in tennis in 2004. In 2002, she won All City Championship in Alta tennis. She was also an artist. She was a member of the Sugar Hill United Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She was an adventurous person with a very inquisitive mind. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Lauren Kate Loftin passed away on June 27, 2006, of complications resulting from her long battle with Friedrich's Ataxia. She is survived by her parents Bob and Judy Hill Loftin, of Bethlehem, Barrow County, Georgia, brother Will T. Loftin and fiance Jenne Plymill both of Atlanta, sister Marie Looney of Bethlehem, paternal grandmother Vera Still Loftin, uncles and aunts Mark S. and Anita Loftin, of Marietta, and Terry and Nancy Feltman of Griffin. After being named Ms. Junior Wheelchair Georgia in 2003, she remained active in the Ms. Georgia Wheelchair Pageant events. She was also active in the National Ataxia Foundation its Georgia and Atlanta Support Groups. Born in Warner Robins, Georgia, she was raised in Bethlehem, attended Bethlehem Elementary, Winder-Barrow Middle School, and graduated from Winder-Barrow High School in 2000. She attended Athens Technical College completing her internship with The Barrow County News and graduating in 2005 with a degree in marketing. Ramona (Monie) Frushour Reikowsky, age 57, of Bethlehem, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2006. She is survived by her Husband: Ed Reikowsky; Son and Daughter in law: Matt & Michelle Reikowsky all of Bethlehem, GA; Brother & Sister in law: Robert & Goldie Frushour of Orrville, OH; Brother: Billy Frushour of Shreve, OH; Several Nieces & Nephews. Mrs. Jane (Knight) Holt, 77, of Four Mile Village, Boxford, formerly of Danvers, wife of the late Lawrence Holt, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at her home. Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Ralph C. Sr. and Rebekah (Adams) Knight. She was raised and educated in Melrose, MA, graduated from Melrose High School and continued her education at the New England Conservatory of Music. Mrs. Holt was a long time patron of the North Shore Music Theatre and enjoyed entertaining her family and friends while singing and playing the piano. She was an avid golfer and past member of the Wenham Country Club and was active in local garden clubs and book clubs. Jane is survived by two loving daughters, Rebekah DeWitt and her husband, David of Danvers and Marcia Massie and her husband, Mike of Suwanee, GA, one son, Scott Holt and his wife, Debra of Topsfield, seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Lee "L.J." Jackson Bailey, age 73 of Hoschton, GA, passed away on June 29, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Marie Bailey. She was one of the founders and the secretary of Stepping Stone Farm, a non-profit organization for the handicapped in Cleveland. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lilburn and was director of the Singleton Family Reunion. Kathryn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she believed in education and helping her fellow man.
