Kathryn Dempsey Crymes, 70, of Tucker, died Tuesday June 27, 2006. The funeral will be at 2 P.M. Sunday July 2, 2006 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, with Rev. Dennis B. Lacy and Mrs. Susan Rumble officiating. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker. A native of Atlanta, Mrs. Crymes was a graduate of the Crawford Long School of Nursing. She was a member of the White County Rotary Club, the White County Booster Club, the Helen Chamber of Commerce and the Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Crymes received the Paul Harris Fellowship award from the White County Rotary Club. She was one of the founders and the secretary of Stepping Stone Farm, a non-profit organization for the handicapped in Cleveland. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lilburn and was director of the Singleton Family Reunion. Kathryn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she believed in education and helping her fellow man. She is survived by her husband, Marion Crymes of Tucker; daughters, Anne Litton Anderson of Tucker and Loretta Litton Rice and her husband Ron of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Ashley Anderson, Sean Anderson, Lauren Rice, Amy Rice, and Sarah Rice; brothers, Tarlton Dempsey and his wife Mary of Lawrenceville and Jack Dempsey and his wife Nell of Winder; sister, Joyce Brantley and her husband Fred of Smyrna and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday and Saturday from 4 - 8 P.M. at Bill Head Funeral Homes & Crematory, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, 770-564-2726.
