Ron Hollum, age 60, passed away Thursday June 22. Mr. Hollum was born on February 15, 1946 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Florida State University and a salesman for Northstar Equipment Corp. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ginny, sons, Joel and Joshua and his fiancee, Carolyn Cayard, mother, Lucy Hollum, sister Marcia Mattera, sisters and brother-in-law, Al & Marty Ball, Betty Roche, Joe & Susan Stepp, nieces & nephews, Jeb and Jeneane Ball, Lexi Ball, Perrylove Ball, Dan & Jenny Breen, Troy & Moriah Lane, Cristi Mattera, Janie Roche, Chris Stepp, Michael Stepp, Ashley Sutherland and Lindsay Sutherland. A celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, July 1, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Bethesda United Methodist Church, 444 Bethesda Church Road, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30044, with the Rev. Jim Bocian officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00-1:00pm at the church sanctuary. Refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall following the service. Fred E. Hobbs, age 68 of Lawrenceville, died Friday, June 23, 2006. Mr. Hobbs was born November 3, 1937. He was a signalman in the U. S. Navy from 1954-1958. He worked for Chem Lawn, East Lake Golf Course and most recently as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Snellville. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Troy, OH, an avid golfer, loved old western movies, loved to play the lottery and most of all loved his Family. Mr. Hobbs was preceded in death by his father, David Hobbs & Infant Son, Devin Hobbs. He was a beloved Husband, Son, Father, Grandpa & Friend. Carroll "Bud" Colter, age 75, of Snellville, GA died Friday, June 23, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvle and Helena Colter of Decatur, IL; brothers-in-law, Michael Newell and Terry Rubin of Decatur, IL and Bill Johns of Hardy, AR. Bud was an avid fisherman and loved to play golf. He served in the Armed Forces in Korea. Bud retired from A. E. Staley Manufacturing Company, Decatur, IL, after 35 years of dedicated service. He worked and was part owner of Colter Sports, Lilburn, GA. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beverly Colter; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Gay Colter and Randy and Linda Colter; grandchildren, Ryan Colter of Lawrenceville, GA, Cortney Colter of Snellville, GA, Cade Colter of Snellville, GA and step-grandchild, Stephen Gray of Snellville, GA; sister, Bonnie Johns of Hardy, AR, sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bill Gerweck of Union, NJ; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Scott and Linda Wike of Ft.
