Bernice Brown McGinnis age 79 of Morrow died Thursday, June 22, 2006. She was the head of several households and was cherished by everyone who knew her. She was a mentor to three generations and a life companion to her elder sister. She was always full of laugh, advice, conversation, and especially love. Bernice will always be remembered and held close in our hearts. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 P.M. Saturday, June 24 at Dacula First United Methodist Church with the remains placed in state at 2:30 P.M. Rev. Susan G. Ash and Father John Bancroft will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Buford. Mrs. McGinnis was preceded in death by her Husband Ed and her Son Michael. She is survived by Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Debbie and Mike Whitmire, Fayetteville, GA, Terri and Jim Lowry, Conyers, GA, Sheila and Tommy Goode, Dunwoody, GA; Son and Daughter-in-Law: Jimmy and Karen McGinnis, Dacula, GA; Sister: Violet Fisher, Newnan, GA. 11 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, 1 Niece and 1 Nephew also survive. She was a member of St. Josephs Episcopal Church in McDonough, GA and attended Dacula First United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the American Legion and a member of the Red Hat Society and worked in the Department of Defense.
