Winnie Mae Campbell, Mother of Rev. Tim Campbell, pastor of Old Suwanee Baptist Church, Buford, GA. Winnie Mae Campbell, 82, of Colbert, GA, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 17, 2006. She was the daughter of the late Ezra and Maudie Bridges Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Denver Campbell, granddaughters, Heather Fitzpatrick and Erin Jones and brother, Willie Ray Christian. She is survived by children, Kathryn and Wayne Phillips, Sundance, Wyoming; Brenda and Berry Fitzpatrick, Hull, GA; Judy and Terry James, Colbert, GA; Rabun and Kathy Campbell, Saluda, SC; Tim and Sandra Campbell, Braselton, GA; Christian friend, Leon Brown, Colbert; 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Bullock, Danielsville, GA; brothers, Cleveland Christian, Colbert, GA and Robert Christian, Bogart, GA and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Campbell was a loving wife and mother. She was a clerk, seamstress and homemaker. She loved her church and Christian singing. She was a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church for forty years, choir member and Sunday School teacher. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with interment to follow at Colbert Cemetery. Gary Wade Jones, 74, of 474 Briggs Circle, Lilburn, GA passed away Friday, June 16, 2006 in his home. Mr. Jones was born in Knox County, IN. He worked for 37 years as a construction worker and concrete plant foreman. From 1984 to 1986, Mr. Jones worked on the I-85/I-285 interchange and the I-985 extension to Canton, GA with Jasper Construction Company. After moving back to the Atlanta area in 1998 during his retirement, Mr. Jones worked part-time for Club Demonstration Services at several Costco stores in the metro-Atlanta area. He is survived by his wife, Roberta Jones; sister, Sally Abrams; three sons, Wade, Trent, and Wesley Jones; daughter-in-law, Dana Jones; and grandson, Nathan Cargill.
